In Texas

This morning was another early start.  We were on the road around 6:15 after eating a very nice breakfast served by the motel.  The weather was bright and sunny with no wind, so it was easy driving.  The further south we went the more color we saw on the trees. We got through Oklahoma City easily since there was no traffic on a Sunday afternoon.  John and I stopped every couple of hours to stretch our legs and pulled into our motel in Wichita Falls around 3 p.m.  We rested for a bit while watching some football and then headed out to do some shopping.  John found a pair of Crocs at a sporting goods store--he'd been thinking about buying some for a while.  After the shopping was out of the way, we ate a great steak dinner at the Texas Roadhouse and followed that up with a walk around Wal Mart for a little exercise.  Tomorrow is the final leg of our journey.
