Finally, a day with cool temps and low humidity. We were up nice and early for our walk and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise. As we walked, we saw signs of the coming autumn--leaves beginning to turn and flocks of geese heading south.
John and I decided to make grape juice today, so following breakfast, we got busy with the preparations. John took care of stripping the grapes off the stems while I got the jars, lids, and other canning items ready. We worked all morning and got 21quarts made by lunchtime and then had to take a break as I had a PT appointment in town. When we returned home, we got back to work and made three more batches of juice ending up with a grand total of 45 quarts.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
