Fall Is Here

When we arrived here on the fort almost three weeks ago, everything was nice and green, including the trees.  Today as we were taking our morning walk we noticed that the grass on the golf course is beginning to brown and the trees are fading and losing their leaves.  It seems strange to see Christmas decorations without the snow and cold weather of the holidays in northern Minnesota.

John and I spent this holiday weekend just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather.  On Friday we played a round of golf and in the evening I went to Bingo with Lois.  Saturday was spent visiting some folks in the RV park, hanging out around the house, and putting up the outside lights.  

Today the Advent season kicked off with a special service in church.  Following a quick lunch, we played a round of golf with Linda G. and then spent the rest of the afternoon watching the Packer's game.  All in all, it was a very enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend.
