We were about 15 minutes out of Brookings when we started to see more than just little piles of snow. The further north we drove, the more snow we saw. All the roads were clear and dry which made traveling very easy. When we reached Fosston, which is about 18 miles from home, we stopped at DQ for some lunch and then hit the local grocery store for some milk and a frozen pizza for supper.
John and I pulled into our driveway around 1 p.m. and the photos below show what we saw. The gravel road was passable and our driveway was clear though a little muddy from the melting snow piles.

As you can see, a lot of wood was burned
over the winter.
After supper, Matt and Sam picked up John so he could watch Sam's basketball practice. I baked some bread this afternoon and spent some time unpacking boxes and getting things put away. It will be awhile before everything is back where it belongs. We are already scheduled for a band concert Thursday night and basketball games on Saturday, not to mention grocery shopping tomorrow--
and we thought we would be bored when we got home.
