Right after the service, John and I returned home to change clothes, pick up the dessert, cookies, and salad that I prepared yesterday, and then went up to Matt's where we were joined by JD's family. Sara did her usual great job of adding special touches to the table and meal--good ham and a great salad. The weather was so nice that the kids were able to play outside while the adults visited and played some cards. The party broke up a little after 4 p.m. Before we left, John loaded up our four wheeler that had been at Matt's all winter. He hauled it home using one of his trucks while I brought the Honda back.
John spent an hour or so dragging the driveway and getting the deep ruts smoothed out. It is still very muddy in spots, but if we don't get any rain for a couple of days, the breezy conditions will help dry it out. This next week will be busy for John--the better weather means Matt will finally be able to get back to work. First job will be a new roof on a house down the highway from us. Spent the evening watching Amazing Race and Celebrity Apprentice.
Love your pictures. Oh, we had a break-in!! A racoon broke in through one of the screen doors. Got any suggestions on what to do?
