By early evening, the skies cleared and the sun came out--we actually saw a nice sunset. We took advantage of the warmer temps and took a walk outside and spent some time in our detached garage making plans to replace the windows, pull down and replace the old wall coverings, and generally clean it out and make an all new storage area. We hope to make this job first on our list of summer projects--would like to get it done before the warmer weather gets here.
Since I haven't been able to get outside for a few days, I got my camera and took a walk down to the pond to check on the geese and see if the pair of ducks that I saw the other day are planning to stay for the summer. The ground was so wet and soggy that I couldn't walk all the way down to the water. Didn't see any wildlife, but they could have been down in the reeds since it was getting on toward nightfall.
The heavy all day rains turned our driveway into a lake, so John spent some time this evening trying to ditch it and make the water run off so it can dry out. Next step will be to get the four wheeler and hook up the rake and drag the drive and get the ruts and low spots evened out.
Hopefully we've turned a corner with the weather and some sunny days are in the near future.
Happy Easter!!
