John and I were up early, said good-bye to Amy's family, and hit the road toward home. Our first stop was breakfast at BK before we left Gillette. After a couple of hours on the road, we left the interstate to stop in Spearfish and drive through the Spearfish National Forest and take a hike to see the Spearfish falls. There was some very beautiful scenery and well worth the time for this side trip.
When we finished with our Spearfish visit, we got back on the interstate and spent the next six hours on the road to Sioux Falls where we spent the night. Tomorrow is our final leg home.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
