John and I were up early this morning and off to Bemidji by 8 a.m. as I had a doctor's appointment to refill a prescription and have some blood work done. When we left the clinic, we went to a local restaurant for some breakfast and then off to do some grocery shopping. Our friends from Fort Clark, Pat and Hoagie, are coming for a visit tomorrow, so we needed to get some food in as we had cleaned everything out before our trip.
When we returned home, John started mowing and trimming the lawn. That job took the rest of the day because he kept getting interrupted by rain showers. I got busy cleaning up around the house and working on the finances--there were quite a few receipts to be entered into our computer's financial program.
Our evening was pretty quiet--just watched TV and did some reading. John talked to Amy and learned that Caleb had a successful first day of football practice at his new school.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
