Our beautiful weather continued again today. The morning was a little on the chilly side when we took our walk--the overnight temps were in the 40's. Each morning we see more changes in the trees as the green is fading and there are more pockets of red and yellow leaves. Fall is coming pretty fast.
John and I decided to take a road trip today and headed over to Grand Forks to do some shopping. Cabela's was having a big outdoor sale, so that was our first stop where John found a couple of shirts on clearance along with more ammunition for his shotgun. After crossing the river into Grand Forks, we stopped at Culver's for some lunch and then went on to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to look for a vegetable chopper. We found just what we were looking for along with new pillows for the bed and a couple of insulated cups.
We then hit the mall looking for some birthday presents, but nothing caught our fancy, so we headed to Sam's Club to stock up on some bread flour, sugar, and much, much more. The back of the Honda was full by the time we started for home. Of course, what's a road trip without a stop at the DQ for an Oreo Blizzard. That made a perfect ending to a busy day.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
