The cold weather of the winter season seems to be behind us at last as the days are now much warmer with bright sunshine. The Mountain Laurel is in full bloom and the wild flowers are beginning to show their beautiful colors.
The activities here on the fort are coming to an end. Saturday was the last RV park breakfast for the year and tonight was the final movie night. As much as we look forward to Spring, it is also the time we say good-bye to our friends. The migration north has already started and each day more folks are pulling out--by next weekend just about everyone in our group will be gone.
Over the last two weeks John and I both kept busy with our usual activities--wood carvers, potlucks, cards, and golfing. Our favorite event was the RV Progressive Dinner. There were about 96 folks in attendance and we rode from site to site in golf carts. The evening ended with entertainment by a country singer while we enjoyed dessert.
