This winter has certainly been one of the coldest and wettest we have seen during our nine winters here in south Texas. We did manage to play some golf on Wednesday, but couples' was canceled again due to cold temps and strong winds. The weather was a little better today, so John, Paul, and I played a round following breakfast at the RV park. This afternoon we listened to the Clearbrook Bears basketball game on the internet. It was the semi-final for the sub-section championship and the girls beat the number two team by 10 points. They lost to this same team earlier in the season by 26 points. It was fun hearing Hanna's name as she had steals, assists, and scored.
Next week we have some big events happening--the RV Progressive Dinner and H.O.P.E Golf Tournament. Hopefully the weather will be warm and sunny. Right now the forecast calls for rain on Sunday and Monday. It's hard to believe that we will be heading north in 5-6 weeks--we should be home by mid April at the latest. Some folks who live a little further south are heading out at the end of March. This winter has really flown by!
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
