Another cold front came through last night and even though the sun was shinning all day, the temps remained on the cool side. We got our morning walk done, ate breakfast, and then headed off to church. Since it was the first Sunday of the month, we had Communion. More of the winter Texans have returned, so attendance was up this morning. There will even more returning after Christmas.
Following the service, a group of us went to Julie's for dinner. They have an excellent buffet and the brisket was delicious. Sam Lark called when we got home and asked if John could come over and help assemble his new electric fireplace. It went together pretty easily and Sam had it running in no time. While John was gone, I did some work on the finances and Christmas cards, and watched some NFL.
Over the past few days we have had three does come into the yard and bed down for the afternoon. I can walk out on the deck to photograph them and they don't even run off. They must know we are harmless.
All in all, it was a pretty quiet, relaxing day. We spent the evening watching The Amazing Race and Sunday Night Football.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
