We are finally on the upward swing with our weather. Today was just perfect with the high in the low 70's. The next several days are to have high's near 80 degrees--time to break out the shorts again. Since it was Sunday morning, John and I walked the golf course which is a shorter route. We can't take our usual longer one or we wouldn't be on time for church.
This morning the choir presented a Christmas musical which was followed by a short message by our pastor. Several church ladies made a dinner of stew, Texas Chili, and rice which was served following the service. There were also some nice, yummy desserts. John managed to sample of little of everything.
Since it was such a nice day, we decided to head down to the Par 3 and play some golf. We ended up playing 11 holes and we both had some real nice shots. As we were finishing up with the golf, Matt called to tell us about the Eagles big win over the NY Giants. John just hung up when his brother, Gus, called from Ohio to talk about the game. Unfortunately, the Eagles were not on TV down here in Texas, so we weren't able to see the game which according to Matt and Gus was one of the best ever played by the Eagles.
We spent the rest of the afternoon watching some football and then settled in to watch the finale of Survivor.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
