After being gone for two weeks, today was the day to get back into our routine. Even though it was cloudy and misty outside, we took our morning walk. Must admit I felt a little out of shape after not walking any hills for a couple of weeks.
Our church is now on its summer schedule with the service starting at 10:00 a.m., so after getting back from walking, we had to hustle a little to get out the door on time. This afternoon Matt came over and he and John lacquered the trim and doors they had stained yesterday. The finished product looks just great.
The weather cleared off this afternoon, so I decided to head outside and check out our garden. We had just finished planting everything before we headed off on our trip. I was amazed at how much everything had grown in just two weeks. Our potatoes, radishes, and onions have just erupted and our tomato plants have blossoms. The strawberry plants are also full of blossoms--hopefully we will soon be feasting on strawberries.
We were completely out of food, so we took a quick trip to Bemidji to do some grocery shopping. After talking to his dad on the phone, John spent the evening watching the Celtics defeat the Lakers. I watched the start of this season's new Design Star.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
