There is only one word to describe today--blustery! We have had winds of almost 30 mph the entire day. There will be plenty of twigs and some branches to pick up in the backyard after the winds die down. We will have to add that to the job list for the weekend.
After breakfast John and Matt headed out to install the trim they had stained and lacquered this past week. This completed the addition they had been working on--now Matt will be able to start a new job on Monday.
John was home by early afternoon and since it was not raining, decided to mow more lawn. Mowing has become a full time job. It seems like he just gets everything trimmed and mowed and then it's time to start all over again. He also took some time to check the strawberries--they should be coming on strong this week. Maybe we'll be eating strawberry shortcake real soon.
After supper the clouds and rain moved back in again, but at least the winds died down a little. Since we couldn't do anything outside we spent the evening watching some movies.
Ralph, a good friend from Fort Clark, called this evening. It was good to catch up on what has been happening in Texas.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
