It was a pretty quiet Fourth of July for us. Usually Amy and her family are with us over this holiday and we all spend several days together and have a family cookout. With their family's move to Gillette a couple of weeks ago, we weren't able to be together this year. Sara, Sam, Hanna, and Rachel were out of town visiting family, so we just had a lazy day at home.
We were in a severe thunderstorm warning for most of the day and, again, the worst of a big storm passed over us to the north with us getting rain and wind but nothing too strong.
John worked down in the shop for a while and finished up the tables he has been making.
This evening we watched a couple of old movies celebrating Independence Day and ate some strawberry shortcake that I made earlier in the day.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
