John and I were up on time this morning for our walk; however, the high humidity seemed to agitate the deer flys and they were our constant companions the whole time we were outside.  We saw four wild turkeys this morning--that's something you don't see too often around here.  With all the coyotes in our area, I'm surprised the turkeys are still here.

First thing this morning John got the backings and hooks on the rest of my photos.  I only have to get them labeled and they'll be ready to enter into the fair.  John also put the finishing touches on his entries by using his wood burning kit to put his initials on the bottoms of his figures and furniture items.  Now he, too, is all set for the fair.

John's next project was to get the plastic border we bought the other day in Grand Forks around his apple trees.  That took most of the morning, but now the water should stay around the base of the trees.  It's a good thing he got that job done as we had a heavy rain shower this afternoon.  The grass down by the pond also got cut today.

Jenni and I had made plans the other evening for her to bring her camera along the next time she came to the shop with Jo.  We found her camera has a Macro mode, so after she got done with her job in the shop, we walked around the yard looking for something to photograph while I gave her some tips and ideas for using the Macro mode.  After taking some pictures, we came in the house, put them on the computer. and tweaked them a little.  I think Jenni did a great job for her first time working with Macro.
