Thunderstorms rolled in during the early morning hours and cloudy, rainy, weather lasted the entire day. We were under severe weather watches several times; fortunately, the worst of it went north of us. Matt and John were going to start on the addition job today, but they had to call it off. Help was needed in the shop, so John worked there today making parts and doing some assembly.
Our trip is fast approaching, so I spent the day doing the last of the laundry, changing sheets on the bed, and starting to do some packing. Matt, Hanna, and Sam came over tonight to watch the Philadelphia Flyers hockey game--they won and are headed to the Stanley Cup. Actually, the guys watched the game while Hanna and I looked over some pictures I had taken and then we started watching a movie. The kids had to leave before we finished as they have school tomorrow. They only have a few days left, so we will have watch it another time.
We ended the evening watching a little TV and keeping an eye on the weather bulletins going across the bottom of the screen. Appears we are going to be in for a bumpy night.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
