The winds died down overnight, but returned again this morning along with more rain. This is our fourth straight day of gray skies and showers. It feels like winter is returning to Minnesota.
We have been very fortunate in that the rains seem to hold off until after we take our morning walk. Glad to have been able to get outside for some exercise and fresh air every day.
After breakfast, we got cleaned up and headed off to church. We were a little later returning home as today was Communion. When we left church, it was raining again with strong winds and rather chilly temps. For lunch we decided to have some nice hot soup with cheese and crackers--the soup sure helped to warm us up. Matt stopped over for a quick visit to see the new boat--thought it was pretty nice and we should enjoy it.
Since the rains continued all afternoon, we pretty much spent the rest of the day watching golf and baseball on TV. One bright spot of a rather gloomy day were the pretty yellow birds on the feeders in the back yard. The rain didn't seem to keep them from eating their fill of seeds.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
