The temps were nice and warm again this morning--66 degrees when we left the house for our walk around 7 a.m. By the time it started getting light we had a very light mist falling, but it wasn't enough to get us wet.
After breakfast we checked out a couple garage sales, but didn't find anything that we absolutely had to have. When we got back to the house, we got cleaned up and headed off to the Par 3 course where we met up with Ginny and Lloyd for a round of golf. It was noon by the time we finished, so we went into town and ate lunch at The Crazy Chicken. I think the name says it all--let me just say the hamburger was delicious but the facility was an adventure in dining out.
Ginny told us that Dave and Diane were heading home to Alaska this next week and were hosting a farewell gathering at their house around 5 p.m. Everyone brought their lawn chairs and a dish to share. Over 30 folks came and enjoyed a very pleasant evening of good food and conversation. As dusk started to fall, the party broke up and all headed off home. This evening we continued to follow the NCAA Tournament.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
