We had a beautiful morning for our walk--cool breezes and low humidity, just about perfect. Since the weather was so nice, we took our 3.5 mile route and managed to keep up a pretty quick pace and get some good exercise.

Wednesday means nine hole golf for John and Weight Watchers for me. John played best ball with Lloyd, John C. and Rodger--they shot par. After playing some pretty good golf, John's game was way off today--he couldn't hit anything. I guess my poor play of the other day was contagious. After the game, the guys ate lunch at the new club house restaurant. John had stir fry vegetables with chicken and said it was very good. Next on John's agenda for the day was a haircut and then he went to the driving range this afternoon. He was able to drive the ball just fine--can't figure out what his problem was this morning.

I headed over to Del Rio right after John left for golf. My first stop was the meeting and then on to Wal Mart for a few non-grocery items and to gas up the Honda ($3.39 per gallon). Next was Wendy's for some lunch and then the mall to check out some special JC Penny sales the ladies were discussing at the meeting. Last stop was HEB for fresh fruit and produce along with some other groceries. Finally, it was time to hit the road back to the fort.

John has finished the mirror frame for Sam, so this evening he took it over to see how the mirrors would fit. He needs to make just a few little adjustments and it should be ready to assemble and hang.

We spent our evening watching Survivor (Russell is gone!!) and American Idol. Tomorrow we head to Del Rio to pick up building materials for John's next job.
