Our day was nice and sunny, but a little on the cool side--high temps reached into the low 40's with the wind making it feel a little colder.
After breakfast, John went to Matt's to pick up Isaac and bring back the wood splitter. The guys then spent most of the morning splitting and stacking the wood that was cut earlier in the week. John says he's done cutting wood for this season, but we'll see. If he gets bored enough, he'll be back cutting and splitting once again. When the guys got done with the wood, they came inside for a snack before Isaac went back to help Matt clear a couple of shooting lanes for next week's rifle hunting.
This afternoon John and I worked down the basement assembling the shelving that was moved down yesterday. We still have to clear some of the shelves and do the restocking, but we are just doing a little each day. Sara and the girls are out of town for the weekend, so tomorrow Sam, Matt, and Isaac are coming down to site their rifles in and staying for supper. I made a salad for tomorrow before spending the evening watching some TV while John watched the World Series.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
