This morning we were up early and finished packing and gathering what we needed for our quick trip to the cities. Our first stop was the orthopedic surgeon in Bemidji where John got his right knee checked out--was told the clicking is probably being caused by scare tissue from his knee surgery two years ago. He had a couple of x-rays and learned that the arthritis is not too bad in that knee and if it flares up, come in for a cortisone injection, so he's good to go.Our next stops were Gander Mountain and then BK for a quick lunch before hitting the road to St. Cloud.
There is a DQ right on our way, so of course John had to stop for a vanilla cone for him and a small Oreo Blizzard for me. We arrived in St. Cloud around 3:45 and checked into our Holiday Inn Express. We then spent a couple of hours walking through the mall and doing some shopping--there were great sales in just about every store. It was then on to Perkins for a late supper and then back to the motel to call it a night.
We have started this blog to keep family and friends updated with news and photos about our lives in both Minnesota and Texas. We hope you will check in often and enjoy sharing our experiences.
