A Very Busy Week

Our beautiful weather has stayed around and everyone has enjoyed being outside.  Sunday following church, we ate lunch at the clubhouse with our usual crowd and then played nine holes of golf with Rodger and Tootie.  This was followed by homemade ice cream and cupcakes at their place.

 Everyone enjoying the warm afternoon

Monday John went to wood carvers and then helped Sam L. with his garage door.  In the afternoon we headed over to the RV park for Washers and in the evening attended a video presentation where Everett Endris shared his experience as a Korean prisoner of war. He was held over three years and suffered great hardships. It was a very moving evening and gave each of us a greater appreciation for the men and women who serve in our country's military.

Tuesday I golfed with Linda and Tootie while John played a foursome with Jim, Paul, and Rodger.  For supper we headed back to the RV park for potluck and cards.  I have been feeling a little under the weather due to allergies, so yesterday John and I went to the Urgent Care clinic in Uvalde.  The doctor thought I might be headed for bronchitis and put me on some steroid pills and an antibiotic.  We stopped for lunch at Wendy's while waiting for the prescriptions to be filled and did a little shopping at Wal Mart.  I took a nap in the afternoon while John played a round of golf.  The weather has just been too nice to stay inside.

A trip to the Uvalde golf course for a round of golf has been in the works for several weeks and today 13 of us headed out bright and early for a tee time of 10 a.m.  Even though the weather was forecast to be cloudy and cool, we had a beautiful day and a very enjoyable time.  Afterward, some of us headed to the Oasis for a late lunch.  This evening John went to wood carvers while I watched several recorded shows.
