We walked in the dark again this morning still keeping to the streets so we could see our way. By the time we are half way through, it begins to get light--we are hoping in another week or so it will be light when we start out.

John had made arrangements with Becky to get together this morning for another painting session. He had finished carving the elf faces and wanted to get them painted before heading home next month. It took him the entire morning and he didn't get home until early afternoon.
Here is a pic of the finished work. I think he did an awesome job for someone just learning how to do the painting.

While John was off painting, I played ladies' nine hole golf. We had 10 ladies out this morning and were divided into three teams. I actually had a pretty good game this morning even though the wind was blowing pretty hard and the temps were on the chilly side. The winds died down just as we finished the last hole. The game was followed by lunch at the club house and a brief meeting of the "Wee Walkers".

John spent the rest of his afternoon working over at Stan's getting more of the screened porch framing completed. I made a chicken hot dish for tonight's potluck at the RV park. The crowd keeps getting smaller each week as more Winter Texans head home. There will only be two more potlucks this winter season. Following supper, some folks stayed and played "31"--I was the winner of the first game at our table. We had to say good-bye to Jim and Kathy Runger as they will be pulling out tomorrow morning and traveling further west before returning home to Minnesota. John and I made plans to visit with them sometime this summer as they live about an hour and a half from us.

We ended the evening catching up on emails and watching a little TV.
