We were up nice and early once again for our walk. There's just something special about taking a walk as the sun comes up. When we start out, it feels a little chilly and one appreciates wearing a nice warm hooded sweatshirt. As our walk progresses and the sun peeks over the horizon, we begin to feel a cozy warmth on our backs and are nice and comfortable for the rest of our walk.

Right after breakfast, John headed over to Stan's to unload the building materials he bought at Home Depot yesterday. He sorted through everything and stored the lumber in Stan's garage where it will stay until he is ready to start the project. The wind was suppose to come up around noon, so we decided to play some golf while it was still calm. We both played a good game--John has figured out what he was doing wrong when he played the other day. We finished play just as the winds started to get pretty gusty.

John still needed to pick up some paint for the porch project, so this afternoon we headed back over to Del Rio and the Sherwin Williams store. From there we stopped at Sutherland's Lumber Yard for some screws and weather stripping. Hopefully, John now has everything he needs to get started on the porch.

There were a couple of events late this afternoon--a condo carport party and a fish fry at the Catholic Church. We went to the condo party for an hour and then went to the church we were picked up our meals and brought them back to the house to eat. This fish fry in an annual event and they serve a delicious meal of fish, potatoes, cole slaw, and beverage. We spent the evening watching a DVD and some college basketball before calling it a day.
