John and I made an early start from Sioux Falls this morning and made it to Fargo, ND before noon.  We crossed the Red River into Minnesota and stopped at our favorite Village Inn Restaurant for some lunch before driving the final leg home to Bagley.  We did make one more stop at the local DQ for some ice cream to finish off the trip.

Once we were home we got the Honda unloaded and then made a quick inspection of the house and garden.  We found the pocket gopher managed to do more damage to the cucumbers and ripe tomatoes that were close to the ground.  John has declared war and set a trap at the mouth of the gopher's hole.  Hopefully that creature is not tunneling under the potatoes and carrots and eating them from below the ground.  We picked a couple of buckets of cucumbers and peppers--John took some up to Sara to use and we'll make more pickles from the rest.  The grapes are just about ready to pick, so we'll be making jelly and juice from them pretty soon.

The one bad thing about coming home from a trip is the laundry.  I did manage to get most of it done while making some homemade bread.  That process takes almost three hours, so I had plenty of time to get unpacked and clothes cleaned.  The fridge looks pretty bare, so tomorrow will be a trip to Bemidji for grocery shopping.
This evening we watched some of the shows we recorded while on our trip.  Seems funny not to be watching the Olympics.
