When we got up this morning the outdoor thermometer read 26 degrees, so we once again bundled up for our walk. We walked a longer route today and by the time we returned home the sun was shinning and we were warmed up. After breakfast John did some work around the yard and then headed off to the post office. I spent most of the morning getting the paperwork ready to send to our accountant for our 2009 taxes.

After lunch we met Dave and Valada Sandwick at the fort's shooting range for some target practice. Each
of us had our own homemade target and spent the next hour honing our shooting skills. It really is a lot of fun and it helps us to feel more comfortable handling a firearm. When we were finished on the shooting range, we stopped at Pico's for some of their delicious ice cream. Their single scoop serving is actually made up of five or more scoops for $1.29. It is the best bargain in town.

Since tonight was the potluck at the RV park, when we got home from Pico's I finished up the casserole I started. There was a good crowd at the dinner and many different dishes. Everyone had plenty to eat. As usual, after the dinner, folks stayed around to play cards. Both John and I made it to the final hands, but we didn't end up the winners. Oh well, there is always next week. Ended the evening catching up on the Olympics.
