Busy Day

Following our morning walk and breakfast, John headed out to meet up with Matt to give him a hand on his current job.  Matt is finishing a room in his customer's basement and needed some help installing a new window and cutting and maneuvering sheets of paneling.  While John was gone this morning, I kept busy finishing up the laundry that I started yesterday and putting out my fall decorations.  Our schedule is going to be pretty hectic over the next couple of weeks, so I thought this would be a good time to get that task out of the way.

When we dropped the sale information off at the local newspaper the other day, we asked them to lay out an ad and then give us a call so we could look if over.  This afternoon, Tom, the editor, called and told me he emailed three ad examples along with the costs for publishing.  He did a great job on it, so now we can hopefully meet with him tomorrow, decide in what papers we want our ad, and get it out next week so it can run several weeks prior to our sale.  This will be a big job out of the way.  That just leaves us with a lot of pricing to do and making the final decision if anything else needs to get on the sale.  After three months I think we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

John and I ate a very early supper and then headed up to the school to watch Rachel and Hanna play volleyball.  Both girls were winners this evening.  The remainder of our evening was spent watching the first game of the NFL season.  Thank goodness football is back!!  

John did some harvesting this afternoon and wanted to show off the fruits of his labor.
