Beautiful Monday

The mornings are much warmer now so it's tee shirts and shorts for our morning walks.  When we start out, the sky is beginning to lighten and it isn't too long before the sun rises above the horizen.  Once that happens, you can feel the day begining to warm up.

Following breakfast John headed over to the RV park kitchen for wood carvers.  The numbers were down a little as several of the carvers have headed home for the summer.  While John was busy carving, I did some laundry and started packing up some of our winter clothes for the trip home.  We're not sure of the exact date we'll be leaving, but I thought I would get the items we won't be using packed up and out of the way.

This afternoon John helped Wallace hang a sign in the Green Room of the club house and then spent an hour or so working out in our shed getting it organized for the summer.  A little before 3 p.m. we headed over to the RV park for the weekly game of Washers.  John was a winner in both rounds while I was paired with Lloyd and we lost our rounds by one point.  Dean, who runs the game, will still be here next Monday, so we'll get to play washers once again.

Tootie and Roger invited a group over to their place for a venison dinner.  We all brought a dish to share and spent a very pleasant evening enjoying a delicious meal with homemade ice cream for dessert, compliments of Gene B.   The only sad thing about the evening was we learned Tootie and Roger have sold their place but are planning to come back next year, if they are good health-wise, and rent a place for the winter.
