No Title 5

We were up and out a little earlier than usual for our walk since Monday morning is wood carvers.  The temps were about 10 degrees warmer today even though the sky was overcast when we walked.

Following breakfast, John headed out the door to Wallace's place.  This is where the carvers are meeting now since so many have headed home.  John said there were only about six guys there today.  I spent the morning checking drawers to make sure nothing was left inside that should be taken home.  I also did some dusting--we've been so busy that cleaning has not been high on the list of things to get done.

We decided last night to head to Del Rio right after carvers.  Our first stop was Wendy's for some lunch and there we ran into Chuck and Lois, so we ate with them.  From there it was on to Wal Mart to pick up a few items--we're trying to keep food purchases to a minimum since we're heading out in a couple of weeks.

The clouds broke up on our way back to the fort and the temps began to heat up just in time for Washers.  There was a much smaller crowd here, too.  This was the final time since Dean and Eloise, who run washers, will be pulling out for Kansas tomorrow morning.  This was our first year to play and we had a good time with the game and getting to meet new folks.  John and I will be ready to join the fun again next winter.
