After a good night's sleep, we were up bright and early to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island. No cars are allowed on the island and it was so strange to see bikes everywhere. When crossing the streets, you had to look out for the bikes and horse drawn carts.

John and I spent our day touring the fort and other buildings as well as hiking a few of the many different trails. The island had many steep hills and we really got a lot of exercise today. The views of Lake Huron were just beautiful. I have posted just a few of the many photos taken today.

We had internet connection problems last night, so I couldn't get this posted on the web until this morning. Today we are heading off to Glen Arbor.
