We are getting into the routine of taking our walk first thing in the morning; however, our start time keeps getting later as we have to wait for daylight before starting out. In high summer it was light at 3:30 a.m. but now it's not light until a little after 7 a.m. with the sun rising in the southeast. Before long it will barely rise above the tree line.

After breakfast, John decided to cut more wood and haul it home. His motto is "You can never have enough firewood put up for the winter." While he was busy with wood, I did some laundry and a few other household chores. I received a call this morning that our new fridge will be delivered sometime tomorrow morning. Hopefully it will be the correct one this time.

Several days ago, Hanna asked us to attend the parents' night for the volleyball players. This is a night where the players honor their parents for supporting them throughout the season. Each player and her parents are introduced and the girls present a yellow rose them--Hanna came up into the stands and gave us one. We then stayed and watched the varsity games--they lost both of them by one point. Our evening was spent watching the end of The Biggest Loser and working on the computer.
