We managed to get up in time to get a walk in before breakfast. The temp was 50 degrees and the sky overcast, but it was nice to be outside without the deer flies buzzing around--they are gone until next summer. While walking we also saw several flocks of Canadian Geese heading south.

Following breakfast, we got cleaned up and headed up to church. We found out that Matt and Sam are "batching" it this weekend as Sara and the girls are gone til this evening. They have been keeping busy with bow hunting and assured us they were eating plenty of food. We spent a relaxing day watching the NFL on TV. Between games John pulled the tomato plants in the garden and tilled it. The garden is now history until next spring. We are slowly but surely getting everything ready for winter
