Even though the sky looked threatening this morning, we were able to get our morning walk in without getting wet. There were just a couple very light sprinkles and that was it for rain. It's very dry here in northern Minnesota and we need some substantial rains.

John decided to head up to Matt's after breakfast and cut some more firewood and haul it back home. My morning was spent at the dentist for my semi-annual teeth cleaning and checkup. I really don't like going to the dentist, but I got a good report and don't need to return for another six months.

This afternoon we headed up to Clearbrook to watch Sam's football game. It was after 6 p.m. by the time the game started and it had to be moved to the big field at half time so they could finish under the lights. The Bears gave it a good effort, but ended up on the losing end with a score of 24-20. Sam hurt his hand the first part of the game and ended up playing with his fingers taped up. JD, John, and Hanna ran the chains this evening. We had a very late supper while we watched some of Monday Night Football.
