We had an absolutely beautiful day here in south Texas with sunny skies and temps near 80 degrees.  It was a little on the cool side when I left the house for my walk, but once the sun got above the horizon, it didn't take long to warm up.

John spent the day resting his knee, keeping it elevated with ice applied every few hours and also ditched the crutches as he is able to put weight on the leg without pain.  In fact, his knee has been pretty pain free since the surgery. I spent my day baking some buns and getting the house ready for tomorrow afternoon's Super Bowl party.  In between our activities a few folks dropped in to see how John was feeling.

Around 5:30 p.m. we headed over to the RV park for a Stone Soup Supper.  Earlier in the afternoon folks brought a cup of vegetables to the park where John B. was in charge of making the soup. He purchased the meat and a few other ingredients he needed and this evening about 65 folks enjoyed a delicious vegetable soup along with plenty of visiting and good conversation.  As the sun began to set, Paul built a nice fire and a few of us stayed and continued visiting while roasting marshmallows and eating Smoors.
