John was up bright and early to make a breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast, and coffee for our guests before they got on the road to Michigan.  We had a great visit with Tootie, Rodger, Jeannie, and Gene and look forward to maybe connecting up with them later this summer.  If not then, we'll see them when we head back to Texas next winter.

As usual after visitors leave, we got busy putting the house back in order by stripping the beds and washing towels and sheets.  John did some weeding in the garden taking frequent breaks from the warm sun.  The weather was so nice today we were able to eat all of our meals out on the porch and enjoy the outdoors without the bugs bothering us.  Since we were pretty much on the go the past couple of days, it felt good just to stay home and rest up.
