This morning was still chilly but not as cold as yesterday. I put on my knee brace, bundled up, and headed off for a walk around the golf course. John was eager to walk the course and look for more golf balls. Sure enough, he found about 5 more this morning.

John headed off to carvers after breakfast. I spent the morning changing sheets, doing laundry, and catching up with some bill paying. Before I knew it, John was back home. He made a couple of
salads for lunch and then spent some time out in the yard planting his new Oleander and a new cactus he picked up yesterday from Billie. Ralph Ramsey stopped by for a visit and before long our neighbor Richard was here along with our pastor, who was out riding his bike. In the middle of all this visiting, Gene stopped by to pick up John and they were off to do some more "metal detecting". They found a piece of old chain, a belt buckle, and an old square headed nail. They considered it a successful hunt.

This evening after supper, John and I hopped in the golf cart and drove way out in th
e brush. There are many trails that wind their way all over the back of the fort. There is nothing out there but cactus and thick brush. In the midst of all this dreary land I found a piece of ground with pretty yellow flowers in bloom. It was very dusty riding out there, we'll have to hose off the golf cart before we use it again.

We closed out the evening watching some of the NIT basketball games and a new movie we hadn't had a chance to see yet.
