This morning we awoke to the sound of big trucks rumbling past our house. The road paving was back in full swing again. Since it was such a beautiful morning we took a longer walk than usual. We went around the golf course and then walked the newly paved streets. As we headed toward home we saw many trucks lined up to drop their loads of asphalt in the new staging area. This went on the entire day.

After breakfast John headed over to Sam Lark's to start repainting his front door and putting on new weather stripping. I headed
into town to the post office and grocery store. I also made a quick stop at the library. When I got home I finished up the laundry that I had started yesterday and continued packing a couple of boxes for the trip home.

We had a quick lunch and then John went back to Sam's to finish up. After that job was completed, he and Sam went out to the airport to put a new spring on the rear wheel of Sam's plane. I made a dish to take to the RV potluck and started getting things around for our trip tomorrow. Tonight was the final dinner until next November. There were only about 25 people in attendance this evening and many of them will be pulling out the end of this week. We played two games of 31 and were out early in both games
. We will really miss the Tuesday night meal and cards.

We were home in time to watch the end of American Idol. Time for bed--big travel day tomorrow.
