John and I were up bright and early this morning. After checking out of the motel, we headed off to Mac Donald's for a quick breakfast. From there we drove to Teton National Park arriving there a little after 7:00 a.m. While at the visitors' center yesterday, we learned that the best time to see wildlife is early morning and evening. We were not disappointed--upon entering the park we saw some buffalo and two wolves running across a field. What a great start to the day.

We spent most of the morning driving around the TNP where the view of the mountains was hidden behind some clouds. That was a little disappointing, but we were still able to appreciate their size and majesty. We followed the park map and traveled the roads to see the sights.

We entered Yellowstone around lunch time and found a place to park while we ate our sandwiches and rested a while. Our first stop was to see Old Faithful. We only had to wait about 30 minutes before it erupted. It was quite a sight and there were many people on hand to see it. From there we saw several other geysers and some of the many hot springs in the park.

John and I are staying for a couple of nights in Gardiner, Mt. We plan to do Yellowstone again tomorrow. The internet connection here is very poor. I will complete the Yellowstone story when I can.
