We lucked out as far as the weather was concerned today--the temps reached the mid 80's but there was a breeze and lower humidity, so the house stayed fairly comfortable until the late afternoon when the sun hit the west side of the house.  John and I stuck to our very early morning walk and it was actually pretty comfortable walking at that time.

John stayed busy most of the day working outside in the garden and trimming the trees in the yard along with taking a few breaks here and there relaxing on the porch.  I did laundry and straightened up our storage closet.  After digging out frames and mats, it was in a little bit of a mess.  I got everything put back where it belongs and order has been restored.

The raspberries continue to ripen, so John called Joanne and asked her if she wanted to come pick some today or tomorrow.  She said she wanted some berries and came over after supper to pick.  Jo brought Josh, Jenni, and Julie with her to help, but the help gave out after a little while and ended up in the house visiting with me.  I got caught up on swimming lessons, camping trips, and general summertime activities.

Pastor Adam called John just as we were finishing up supper and asked if he wanted to go fishing.  Of course, the answer was "Yes". As of now, he still hasn't returned home, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to let you all know if he caught anything.
