After breakfast, we got cleaned up and headed off to church. Our church is seeking a new pastor and today one of the candidates for the position preached at the morning service. Both John and I thought he preached a good sermon and seemed very nice.
We ate a quick lunch and then hauled out the carpet and furniture for the porch. We have been meaning to do this job all week, but with John working long days, have not had a chance to get to it.
When the porch was finally set up, we decided since it was such a nice day, we would wash both the car and truck. They were very dirty from driving on the muddy gravel roads and really needed to be cleaned up. They look much better now.
We ate supper out on the porch this evening. It was fun to sit and watch the hummingbirds come to the flowers we planted yesterday. Tomorrow we need to get their feeders set up. John watered the garden and flower pots and then called it a day on outside activities. We spent the evening watching some NBA and Yankee's baseball.
