When we awoke this morning the sky was overcast and it looked like rain. My first thought was that it would not be a good day for our rummage sale. I headed off to Sara's and was very surprised when I turned in the driveway. There were seven cars parked there and people lined up to pay for their purchases. Even though the winds came up and there were some rain showers, we had an excellent sale--between us we made over $300. The sale lasted from 8-12, so by noon we were completely done.

While I was at Sara's, John did some more yard work and also fixed the trimmer which had been running a little rough. After lunch, we planted our flower pots for the yard and porch. They look very nice--hopefully they will survive while we are away on our trip.

John decided that he had a craving for pizza, so that's what we had for supper. I made a quick trip into town to get it along with a few groceries that will hopefully hold us over until we leave next week.
We both felt pretty stuffed after eating, so we took a walk out to the highway and back--didn't have time for one this morning. Ended our evening watching an old movie on TV.
