The temperature was 56 degrees when we left the house for our walk. The skies were overcast with a slight mist and no breeze. By the time we got back home, the wind started coming up, the sun was trying to break through, and the temps began their downward spiral. A major cold front was making its way into our area and will be sticking around for a day or two.

Right after breakfast John went to the post office to see if we had any mail. We were waiting for one final tax document to arrive and we would have everything we needed to file our 2010 taxes. The form we were waiting for was there, so we got all our forms and papers organized, put them in an envelope, and John made another trip to the post office to send everything off.

Stan stopped over and asked John to go and look at a property he is considering. While they were gone, I left to get a haircut. By now the temps had dropped into the low 40's with very strong winds--I dug out my winter jacket for the trip to the beauty shop.

It was a good day to stay inside and get caught up--I did some laundry and baked bread. John worked on Jan's porch quote and did some reading. After supper he picked up Tim and they headed of for an evening of wood carving. I watched American Idol and read my Kindle. All in all we had a pretty low key day.
