Today was another warm one, but the humidity was at a much more comfortable level. Last night we decided to get up early this morning and head to Bemidji to restock our groceries and take care of a few errands. We were hoping to beat the crowds as it's the first of the month and a holiday weekend.

John and I got everything done and made it back home i
n time for lunch. After eating, John checked out the strawberry patch and found that he needed to pick berries again. We spent most of the afternoon cutting up berries and getting them bagged up and into the freezer. There are still two more buckets ready to be processed.

Around 5 p.m. we headed up to Matt's for supper--Amy and her family had arrived for the long weekend. JD and his family came over and we spent some tim
e playing "31" while the kids were busy outside.

As evening came on, we all gathered outside to light som
e Chinese lanterns and release them into the air. Today our grand daughter, Emily Ann, would have celebrated her 13th birthday and we launched the lanterns in her memory and to celebrate her birth.
